Property Management

  1. The Property Management division of EANDC was formed in 1998 to manage all IRS Section 42 housing that is sponsored, developed and built from an award of federal tax credits to EANDC through the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. EANDC's Property Management currently manages and maintains 312 single family homes, a multi-unit Section 8 apartment building, a 40-unit senior building, and 30 unit multi-family town home community (in the final stages of development (called in Akron "EANDC Homes")

  2. In Akron, in 2007, EANDC developed and constructed Stevenson Pointe TownHomes - a 30-unit property.
     
  3. In Barberton, EANDC is currently the management agent for a 35-unit senior development and a 24-unit TownHomes development.

  4. In partnership with ABCD (non-profit), EANDC jointly manages:
    • 59 single-family homes & 33-unit elderly property in Canton, Ohio
    • 50 single-family homes & assist in development of additional 30 single-family homes in Massillon, Ohio Construction just begun on Queen Ester's Village, a 33-unit senior cottage community

  5. EANDC is a co-developer with Humility of Mary Housing , currently developing a 40-unit senior project called St. Martha's Manor

  6. Zion Terrace project - EANDC Housing page contains more details as described in the Akron Beacon Journal's (July 2003) article - this it is a senior housing development for individuals or families with at least one member aged 55 or older. Zion Terrace Apartments project is completed.
    • The apartments are a 40 unit, senior housing development for individuals or families with at least one family member aged 55 or older.
    • Each apartment has over 800 square feet of floor space, 2 bedrooms, living room, dining area, kitchen, fully equipped with refrigerator, stove and dishwasher.
    • EANDC offers an array of social services for the Zion Terrace residents.
    • The Zion Terrace Resident Association meets once per month. There are approximately 20 members including a President, Vice President, Secretary and a Treasurer.
    • An activity committee was formed to assist with the organization of various outings and activities such as: bingo, movie night, computer classes, and bus trips.

  7. In the Spring of 2008, EANDC will develop a 40 unit in-filled housing project. 25 single family homes will be built in the allotment on the corner of Washington and Waterloo roads. The other 15 units will be on scattered sites in Akron.

Property Management's Resident Council Committee meets every 4th Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. Meetings are held at the East Akron Community House, 550 South Arlington Street  

In addition to management and maintenance services, EANDC Property Management offers an array of social services including: employment assistance, money management, and a homeowner skill training program.
