Emergency Home Repair Program (EHRP)
Many low-income homeowners find themselves in need of emergency repairs that threaten the basic stability and safety of their homes. The Emergency Home Repair Program will meet that need. The EHRP will provide low-income individuals and families with repairs that may include: hot water tank replacements; electrical, furnace, plumbing, gas line and/or roof repairs; handicapped railings, grab bars, toilets; etc.
Funded by the Akron Community Foundation, GAR Foundation, Moffitt Family Foundation, Northern Ohio Golf Charities Foundation, and Ohio Department of Development the Emergency Home Repair Program has been providing emergency services for 17 years. Please call number below for more information.
EANDC Energy Services continues to offer information and referrals, crisis intervention, coordination of social services and related programs to residents in all our programs.
Funded by Dominion East Ohio Gas, EANDC's HouseWarming Program will serve approximately 50 low-income
households in the greater East Akron area with furnace replacements, clean and tunes, and sidewall and
attic insulation. HouseWarming will install carbon monoxide
detectors in every household that we serve. HouseWarming participants must own their home and must meet income guidelines.
After the s your completed application, we will send a Certified Inspector to your home to determine the best way to reduce your gas consumption and heating costs. Once you give the go ahead, professional contractors will install the weatherization measures in your home.
