Arlington Homes 8
EANDC is currently working on the next phase of housing development, Arlington Homes 8 Project. The year 2008 plans include 8 new construction homeownership homes scattered throughout the City of Akron; the homes will be located on Nathan Street, 5th Avenue, Talbot Avenue, East Lods Street, Raymond Street, Rhodes Avenue and LaCroix Street.

Stevenson Pointe TownHomes
A comprehensive neighborhood revitalization project. It includes 30 (thirty) units of single-family home development on single site in City of Akron. The project is founded through combination of equity raised from the sale of Housing Tax Credits, conventional debt, and grant & loan dollars from state and local governments.
The project contains:

9 buildings with 10 4-bedroom homes (averaging 1,560 square feet). The homes will include 2 baths and a two-car garage

20 3-bedroom homes (averaging 1,440 square feet) The homes will include 1.5 baths and a two-car garage

Common parking area

Homes are equipped with central air, refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher.
Washington Homes
A comprehensive neighborhood revitalization project. It includes 40 (forty) 3- and 4-bedroom single-family homes. All the homes will be situated on the streets surrounded by other single-family homes. Washington Homes will offer a variety of one and two story exterior styles with at least 3 different floor plans. The 4-bedroom and 3-bedroom homes will include living room, kitchen, separate dining room, 2 baths, security system, basement, and front porch. Also, each home has a private yard and sidewalks to/from both the front and back door. Whenever possible, garages are attached to the homes.
The handicap accessible homes feature a den complete with walk-in closet and the mud-room off the garage.
The residents of Washington Homes development will have access to numerous shopping locations, restaurant, and employment opportunities, in an established neighborhood.
Massillon Homes
A comprehensive neighborhood revitalization project. It includes 30 (thirty) units of single-family home development in City of Massillon, Ohio. Massillon Homes will contain 22 4-bedroom homes and 8 3-bedroom homes. The homes will offer a variety of one and two story exterior styles with at least 3 different floor plans. The 4-bedroom homes will include 2 baths, basement, and garage. The 3-bedroom homes will include 1.5 baths, basement, and garage.
Physical amenities will include central air conditioning, new refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, energy efficient furnace and windows with U-O factor rating of .40 or below.
Queen Ester Village
Ohio Housing Finance Agency awarded the housing tax credits (to Canton Senior Apartments), to construct 33 2-bedroom cottages for elderly citizens. There will be 2 building with 6 units each; a single building with 5 units, and 4 buildings with 4 units each
All cottages will have attached garages, porches and patios. Also, there will be a Community Center, which will house a Community Room, sales office, mail room and maintenance room. Sales office will be used as a-drop-in office for the City Police. Construction is scheduled for completion, with all units leased, by November 2008.

Homeownership Promotion
Mission of EANDC's Center for Homeownership is to support successful homeownership by providing counseling, education and financial assistance to the potential first-time homebuyers
Homebuyer Education
Pre-purchase homebuyer education provides general instructions how to increase knowledge and build new home buying skills. Education takes place in a classroom settings, with topics covering the following:
- Assessing readiness to buy
- Budgeting and money management
- Credit management and repair
- Selecting a home
- Purchase, mortgage and closing process
- Maintaining a home and finances
Foreclosure Prevention
Facing a raising number of conventional and sub-prime foreclosures, which are concentrated in a low-income and minority neighborhoods, the EANDC Center for Homeownership is dedicated to preserving homeownership by providing foreclosure prevention services to existing homeowners. The Foreclosure Prevention Services include:
- Determination of the cause of default
- Analysis of the homeowners financial situation
- Determination of default curability
- Formulation of repayment plan or foreclosure
- Loan modification counseling and assistances
- Determination of a written action plan for financial management
Individual counseling
Individual counseling is provided for every potential homebuyer. These specialized counseling sessions focus on problems and issues that are specific to individual homebuyers. They generally include:
- Budgeting information
- Developing a savings plan
- Credit issues and credit repair
